Program Description
Critical Wellness, LLC provides in-station wellness services to fire departments and other public-safety agencies. As part of delivering those services, Critical Wellness sends operational text messages to the station and duty phone numbers supplied by the client agency.
Messages state the time a crew's session is scheduled on a given day or give notice that the Critical Wellness provider team has finished at the previous station and is en-route. Critical Wellness does not send marketing, promotional, or sales messages on this program.
Who receives messages
Recipients are on-duty personnel at agencies that have contracted with Critical Wellness. Station phone numbers are supplied to Critical Wellness by the agency under a written service agreement, for the express purpose of coordinating the sessions the agency has contracted for.
Consent is recorded on a written Station Messaging Consent Form signed by an authorized representative of the department, confirming that the numbers provided are department-issued station or duty lines rather than personal numbers belonging to individual members. A blank copy of that form is available here.
Numbers are entered manually by Critical Wellness. There is no public sign-up form, and no number is obtained from a purchased or third-party list.
Message frequency
Message frequency follows the program schedule. On a service day a station typically receives one or two messages. Stations receive no messages on days when no session is scheduled.
Cost
Critical Wellness does not charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply under the mobile plan associated with the line receiving them.
How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message to stop further messages to that number. A confirmation is sent, and no further messages are delivered to that number unless it is resubscribed. To resubscribe a number, reply START from that number or ask Critical Wellness to restore it using the details below. A client agency may also ask Critical Wellness to remove any station number by contacting us directly.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for assistance or contact Critical Wellness using the details below.
Delivery
Message delivery depends on the recipient's mobile carrier and network conditions. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Critical Wellness cannot guarantee that a message is delivered, and station arrival times are also communicated through the program schedule agreed with the agency.
Supported Carriers
These messages are supported on the major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and UScellular, and on most regional carriers and mobile virtual network operators. Carrier support may change without notice.
Eligibility
These messages are intended for department-issued station and duty lines at agencies that have contracted with Critical Wellness. Recipients must be at least 18 years of age. Critical Wellness does not knowingly send messages to anyone under 18.
Privacy
Mobile numbers are handled as described in the Critical Wellness Privacy Policy. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Changes to these terms
Critical Wellness may update these terms as the program changes. The effective date above reflects the current version, and material changes are posted on this page.
